There aren't many people who truly have the guts to follow their heart. From the time I met you in our freshman year at Hartwick, you have always been a unique musician who set his own curve Your craft has done you a great service. Your music is heartfelt and pure. That's refreshing. Keep it up Scott. I hope I will get the chance to hear you live again soon.

Did you attend Hartwick College for a time in the early 80's? If you did, then we need to get together sometime, even just to talk. We ran cross country together, and wrote a couple of songs. If not, my apologies for wasting some cyber space.

P.S. The music is very cool, and it reminds a little me of the Scott King of my Hartiwck era, so that's why I took a chance and sent the email. Hope to hear from you ...

Thanks, Patrick. That's one of my favorites. I wrote it in Lyons, Colorado in the summer of 2003 when the Moon and Mars were actually both visible for a couple of nights. I played that lead on a Gibson ES335 that I stupidly sold and miss terribly, but thanks to you I'll soon have a beautiful Les Paul to make up for it!

I'm listening as I type... very nostalgic feeling, I like it a lot. The Moon and Mars. Very nice.

Hey - was listening to your stuff again, as I do probably a couple times a week - just really noticed what the piano part in the 2nd to last bit of "Wasted World" is doing (during the "you just turn around and walk away" from 3:43-4:07) I don't know if you'd call it alternating between the major and minor or between the note and the flat, but it is a really clever, nice touch. And of course I like the last bit from 4:07 on alot too. That part is almost too good to just tack on to the end of a song.

Brought my Ipod to work today, chock full 'o Scott King and I thought......"Hey, I wonder what Mr. King is up to?" So glad to hear you have picked the guitar back up. You are kinda handy with an acoustic guitar, wink wink.
